Abstract Title: Eletrospun PVA/CNT nano fibers for possible Thermo/Triboeletric applications

Biography:

Manuel Caetano holds a BSc and MSc in Micro and Nanotechnologies Engineering from FCT-NOVA, where he conducted his master's research on polymeric functionalization of recycled newspaper. His previous work focused on the production and characterization of alginate, cellulose, and polyacrylamide hydrogels incorporating carbon-based nanomaterials for applications in piezoresitive sensores. He is currently a researcher at Fibrenamics in the Fibers Department, specializing in thermoelectric and triboelectric textile materials. He studies the development of energy-harvesting materials using polymers such as PVA and carbon-based materials, including graphene, carbon black, and carbon nanotubes. His research focuses on optimizing conductive nano fibers and polymer structures for innovative and sustainable textile-based energy solutions.
